Frequently Asked Questions

How many habits can I have?

The free plan keeps one habit in formation at a time. Habits you have finished keeping don't count, so you can form habits one after another for free. Kept Pro unlocks unlimited habits at once, plus custom reminder sounds. Everything else stays free, with no time limit.

What does Kept Pro cost?

Kept Pro comes as a yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial, a monthly subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy, under Settings › Kept Pro.

A reminder didn't arrive — what happened?

Kept schedules one reminder per habit per day at the time you chose. A habit that repeats during the day, like drinking water, gets its reminders inside the window you set and never outside it. Reminders are regular notifications, so check that they are allowed for Kept in your phone's notification settings and that a Focus or Do Not Disturb mode isn't silencing them. Each reminder has Done and Skip buttons, which apply to the day the reminder was for.

How do I record my own reminder sound?

In the habit's reminder step, tap Sound and choose Record a sound (up to 30 seconds) or Import a sound file. You can also manage them under Settings › Reminder sounds. Custom sounds are part of Kept Pro. On iPhone a recording (or an imported WAV or AIFF file) plays as the notification sound itself; on Android reminders use the system sound and custom sounds play inside the app.

What is the difference between Done and Skip?

Done logs the habit for the day. Skip marks the day as a rest day: it never counts against you, so your streak survives and the day is left out of your score. Use it for sick days, travel, or anything planned. Both can be undone from the Today screen or the habit's page.

How are streaks and scores counted?

Your streak survives one missed day and ends after two misses in a row. Skipped days are transparent. The score is the share of scheduled days you completed over the last 7, 30, and 90 days; weekly and monthly habits are measured per period.

Why didn't the day change at midnight?

By default a day ends at 3:00 AM, so a late night still counts as today. You can change the time under Settings › Day ends at.

How do I change or delete a habit?

Open the habit from the Today screen. Edit lets you change its name, schedule, length, and reminders. Delete habit, at the bottom of the page, removes it together with its history, which cannot be brought back.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes. Settings › Export data saves everything as JSON or CSV and lets you choose where to send the file. Settings › Delete all data removes every habit and log from the phone.

How do I restore Kept Pro on a new phone?

Open Settings › Kept Pro and tap Restore purchase. As long as you're signed in with the same Apple Account or Google account you bought with, Kept Pro comes back. Purchases are tied to the store you bought from, so an App Store purchase does not carry over to Android, or the other way round.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by us. On iPhone go to Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions and select Kept. On Android open the Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, or before the free trial ends, to avoid the next charge. Lifetime is a one-time purchase with nothing to cancel.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by the store you bought from. For the App Store, visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and select the purchase. For Google Play, follow Google's refund steps.

Which languages does Kept speak?

Thirty, including Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Turkish. Kept follows your phone's language, or you can pick one under Settings › Language.

Do you collect any of my data?

No. Your habits and settings stay on your phone, and the app has no accounts, analytics, or tracking. See our Privacy Policy for details.
